Where is the notary office and what are the opening hours?
The 5th Notary Office of Recife is inside Shopping Recife, at Rua Padre Carapuceiro, 777, Boa Viagem. It opens Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is required. You can come straight to the counter or start through the online service or WhatsApp, so your documents are checked in advance and the visit is quicker.
Can everything be done online?
Most of the process, yes: choosing the service, uploading documents, having them reviewed and following your case. Signing some acts still requires attending in person or using a digital certificate through e-Notariado.
How much does each notarial act cost?
Fees are set by state law and by the Pernambuco Court of Justice table — the notary office does not set prices. The fees page shows the amount by type of act and value range.
Is an act signed here valid in other Brazilian states?
Yes. Deeds, powers of attorney, signature recognitions and certified copies are valid throughout Brazil. For use abroad you need the Hague apostille, which is also issued here.
Do you serve clients in Spanish and English?
Yes. Service and website content are available in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
